Nice outdoor onsen, great view from the room.
Old facilities, unappetizing food.

The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring the mountains and temples. You can easily walk downhill to the beautiful temples and enjoy the serene atmosphere along the river where the Jizo statues line the path. If you're up for some adventure, the National Park area offers plenty of walks to explore. the rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable futons and stunning views of the river. the onsen on the rooftop provides a relaxing experience, especially the outdoor one where you can enjoy the snow drifting by.
The hotel does not provide wifi in the rooms, but this allows for a truly unplugged experience and the ability to appreciate the fresh air and fantastic views.

We had a truly romantic escape at this hotel. The room was spacious, with a beautiful view of the river. The private onsen was a highlight and added a touch of luxury to our stay. The location was convenient, with easy access to the nearby shrines and temples. the staff were accommodating and friendly, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.
The early morning sunlight was a bit of a drawback as the window coverings didn't block out the light effectively. This meant that we were waking up earlier than desired.
